The Grand Canyon Pro Rodeo Association Sanctioned Rodeo held at the Apache Junction Rodeo Park at Lost Dutchman & Tomahawk is a full 8 event Rodeo, with professional cowboys and cowgirls competing for $30,000 in prize money beginning at 1:30 P. M. each day. The classic 8 Events include, Bareback, Calf Roping, Saddlebronc, Steer Wrestling, Ladies Breakaway Roping, Barrel Racing, Team Roping and the crowd favorite, Bull Riding. This Rodeo Event is considered one of the finest in the Southwest and is on most contestants list as one they want to enter.
Lost Dutchman Day's has been honored to have SASI ride in our rodeo for the last several years. Here is a little about their organization from their website, "Southwest Arizona Sisters, Inc. is a NON-PROFIT 501(c)(3) organization committed to educational and community service. We strive to ensure the Western Legacy carries on for generations to come. Known as the "SASI Girls" these ladies are top notch cowgirls that perform equestrian drill routines and have giving at their core. They are also your GCPRA Sanctioned Equestrian Drill Team and appear at Rodeos throughout the Great State of Arizona."
Mutton Bustin is The last event on Sunday, February 26th. Entry fee is $10 or paid ticket stub from the rodeo for Sunday only. Sign up near the Secretary Office for the first 15 entrants. Helmets and vests provided. Age groups are 4-5 and 6-7.

Local Entries: Sign-up for "Local" rodeo entrants is on February 16, between 6 pm and 10 pm. "Timed Event" entrants should call (480) 694-3027 and all other event entrants should call (888) 757-6336.

Seating: Newly covered bleachers with aluminum seats have been installed for your viewing comfort and pleasure.
Cowgirls Historical Foundation will be performing their special drills for the Rodeo and also set the pivots for the Grand Entry at each Rodeo performance.
This year's Rodeo National Anthem Singers will be Rodney Wayne on Friday, Jena Thranum on Saturday and a representative from the Cowgirls Historical Society on Sunday.
