The Grand Canyon Pro Rodeo Association Sanctioned Rodeo held at the Apache Junction Rodeo Park at Lost Dutchman & Tomahawk is a full 8 event Rodeo, with professional cowboys and cowgirls competing for $30,000 in prize money beginning at 1:30 P. M. each day. The classic 8 Events include, Bareback, Calf Roping, Saddlebronc, Steer Wrestling, Ladies Breakaway Roping, Barrel Racing, Team Roping and the crowd favorite of Bull Riding. This Rodeo Event is considered one of the finest in the Southwest and is on most contestants list as one they want to enter. The Rodeo annually gets 500 plus entries, enough so that we have to run all the team roping one day earlier on Thursday, February 26th which includes a slack (those contestants not in the performances) on Sunday morning, March 1st, at 9 A.M. There is no charge for admission for the Thursday Roping or Sunday slack.

The 51st Annual Lost Dutchman Days professional rodeo would like to welcome this year's specialty act Rider Kiesner. Rider is a 4X World Champion Trick Roper, 2X World Champion Gun Spinner, 2X World Champion All Around Western Performer and reserve World Champion Whip Cracker. Rider has performed in 9 countries, and performed at the National Finals Rodeo 2 times along with some of the most prestigious rodeos in the United States and Canada. Rider was given a Will Rogers trick roping kit when he was 9 years old as a Christmas present and the rest is history! The Lost Dutchman Days Rodeo Committee looks forward to having Rider perform at this year's rodeo.
There is a $2.00 charge for the Event Center admission.
Seating: Newly covered bleachers with aluminum seats have been installed for your viewing comfort and pleasure.
Cowgirls Historical Foundation will be performing their special drills for the Rodeo and also set the pivots for the Grand Entry at each Rodeo performance.
This year's Rodeo National Anthem Singers will be Krysta Holmes and Alyssa Holmes performing on Friday and Jena Dawn Thranum performing Saturday and Sunday.
